The prostatitis surgery described on this web site is being done by the Krongrad Institute for laparoscopic prostate surgery. The Institute was founded by Arnon Krongrad, MD, who in 1999 pioneered the use of laparoscopic prostatectomy in the United States. Dr. Krongrad is the prostatitis surgery study principal investigator; he does all the surgery in this study.
The study statistician is Shenghan Lai, MD PhD, Professor of Epidemiology, Medicine, Pathology, and Radiology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Dr. Lai has published extensively with Dr. Krongrad.
